Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) to continue into 2017

The maximum benefit to each eligible child will be reduced from $1000 to $700 over a two year period.

Any child who commenced treatment in 2016 will still have access to the original cap of $1000 until the end of 2017.

This means children can continue to access quality dental treatment close to home and by their regular dentist.

***Update*** As of 8 February 2017 the Federal Government has announced that the they have decided to restore the cap for the Medicare CDBS back to $1000 over two years.
